The Reptile Reverse mast is definitely my favorite mast in the series. First of all it’s incredibly light. So the sail does not feel heavy in your hands at al. The amazing thing about the mast is that you can choose how you want your sail to sail, keep it more to the original specs or you can spice things up and try something different for a chance. With the Reverse mast it is possible to flip to bottom of the mast, flipping it on side 1 brings it more to a flex-top mast. Flipping it on side 2 gives it more off a hard- top feeling of a mast. With these possibilities you can try manny different settings to make your sailing more fun and enjoyable. Second of all, this won’t break !! I went sailing in some pretty heavy waves and toke manny heavy slams with the mast. And trust me I was scared and thinking yes this the time my mast is going to break, but no !! It holds it’s own really well, I ended up having amazing sessions with-out the worry that my mast can break.

Per i test del nostro magazine proviamo una media di quasi 50 tra tavole e vele all’anno. Che la nostra ormai oltre decennale collaborazione con Reptile mast sia stata veramente proficua… è indubbio!
Il fatto che a distanza di tanto tempo alcuni dei nostri tester abbiano ancora in dotazione alberi Reptile, come ad esempio i “leggendari” rdm Lizard 65% che ci erano stati messi a disposizione nel lontano 2002 o 2003 in redazione… beh la dice lunga sulla qualità degli alberi Reptile.
I vari Python, i Green Mamba che si sono succeduti sulle vele dei nostri test… non ci hanno mai lasciato in asso e ci hanno permesso di svolgere il nostro lavoro nel migliore dei modi.
Negli ultimi tre anni l’introduzione del nuovo albero Reverse, ha reso tutto più facile nelle sezione delle vele wave, freewave, freeride piccole.
Il Reverse, che è il primo e l’unico albero al mondo con la sezione inferiore reversibile che crea due diverse curve di piegatura seconda del lato utilizzato, ci ha risolto tutti i problemi legati alla varie curvature delle vele.
Con l’introduzione del “mast selector” sul sito Reptile, basta andare a cliccare il brand e la tipologia di vele che abbiamo da provare, per trovare il loro migliore abbinamento con i vari Reptile Mast, non solo con il Reverse, ma con tutta la gamma di alberi prodotti… un gran passo avanti per semplificare la vita a noi, ma anche a tutti i windsurfisti alla ricerca dell’albero giusto per la propria vela.“
